Christian Buchwald holds a degree in Political Sciences from the University of Lausanne and completed postgraduate studies in Political Economics at Boston University, USA.
He started his career in 1994 with UBS, joining the bank’s financial training program for academics. He subsequently held senior positions in Zurich, Geneva, Luxembourg and Monte Carlo. In 2001, he became a member of the UBS Ticino Region Management, and in 2002 assumed executive responsibilities within the same bank.
He later became Managing Partner and CEO of Finpartner Financial Services Ltd. in Lugano, which was integrated into Copernicus Wealth Management Ltd. in 2026. Christian Buchwald has extensive experience in the financial services industry, with a particular focus on private wealth management, family office services and asset management.
